FO: Scrappy Hackysacks

I don’t feel like crafting right now. But I did make these in the morning for some kiddos who keep losing my hackysacks. (Okay, it’s not just kiddos losing them. A certain person and I may have lost one while trying to hit one another… Maybe, maybe not. Haha.)

I tripled up some fingering yarn to make these. Nice way to use up scraps… If I had known I only had enough to make about half, then I would have made the original spiral hackysack, but I got half-way before realizing I wouldn’t have enough.

FO: Graduation Owls

I made 12 owls total, but one was given away last week because she was leaving early. Oh well.

I went to work early to get the kiddos to hold my owls so I could take pictures. They didn’t quite turn out the way I envisioned, but you get the idea.

The last picture was their suggestion. They wanted to form a heart with the owls, so that’s what happened.

They loved it. I mean… LOVED it. They wanted to play with them right away, take a nap with them. Their teacher said no, they could only play with them when they got home. Hah. At least they will be well-loved.

I will probably make more with my scraps. They’re fun, and don’t require too much sewing! Hurray!

I’ve been crocheting! I tried to knit and it seems I have lost my knitting mojo for the moment. Crocheting all the way!!!

I worked like crazy on these motifs over the weekend. I want to get back to them, but I have something I want to finish first, so taking a break.

Rarity from My Little Pony. I’m testing the pattern and it’s been… interesting. She is a great designer, with a strong background in shaping crochet, so her pieces are awesome and well thought-out. Unfortunately, I have a big, fat BUT as well. C’est la vie.

I’ve already started using the WOTA. One skein down!

I can’t wait for these balls of yarn to become something beautiful.

This week was better, but still busy.

The sweater is coming along. I gave up sizing it for now… Perhaps when I’m done, I will try writing it up and knitting it again.

I’m uncertain whether I should rip back back and lower the calf-shaping… It should be okay as is, but I’m not sure. That’s why I haven’t been knitting on it. -Sigh- But I really do want to get back to it.
