Here are all the projects I am currently working on (not including those on hiatus).
First, Ostrich Plumes. I took the pattern from Lace Poncho (Ravelry Link) and I’m working it as a shawl. I want it symmetrical, so I started with a provisional cast-on and once I work half of it, I’ll bind-off and work the other side. I started it as a prayer shawl for Kali, but I don’t think I’ll finish it quickly enough for her to want it, so I’ll probably save it as a future gift.
Here is the Moonlight Sonata, grown up a bit. I’m on the 6th repeat of the pattern, and I think it’ll just be a little scarf. Of course, I’m trying to use up the yarn.
This is Ester. More stash-busting. I’m knitting size medium, even though I’m typically a small. This yarn will finally be put to good use (if I don’t run out)!
Finally… Kali’s gloves. When Kali asked me to make her gloves, I imagined a deep red and long, elbow-length gloves, because it just fits her. But you have no idea how much I agonized over the right pattern. This one was too short and difficult to convert, that one wasn’t elegant looking enough, etc. Finally, I decided on using toasty as my inspiration. My version is called Drama~! because we are part of a drama group, Acts of Worship, and because of all the drama that took place in my mind, trying to figure out what would be perfect!
By the way, the color is off. It’s a much darker, deeper shade of red. I used Comfy Sport in Pomegranate. I love how it’s turning out. Sure, it’s not perfect (due to the shape, it’s quite baggy around the wrist for me, but I’m really skinny), but it’s beautiful, and Kali will look quite dramatic when she wears them.
