Do you see this? Do you SEE the pooling? No? How about now?
It’s driving me crazy! I don’t know if I want to keep knitting it, or if I should just frog. I do like how it’s coming out (maybe I’d add another repeat to the top because it’s a little short) but the pooling makes me want to cry. The heel looks fine, but the leg… =/ I think I’ll have to find a different yarn to work this pattern up, unfortunately. Anyone want to suggest a good sock yarn with a nice shade of yellow? Not something from Knitpicks; I want something different this time.
On a more positive note, I’ve been playing around with my camera and some posterboard and I get pretty pictures! I did a better job with this picture than the ones above. Something about the lighting… This is the yarn I had left after finishing my Enmeshed Shawl – now named Sumire’s Shawl. I have an idea for a cardigan too… Hehe.
Leftovers from my Revontuli Shawl. I wish I had thought of this before I knitted up my Revontuli Shawl, but oh well!
I really like what you’ve done with the posterboard. Very creative; the pictures look so sharp and professional!
I had to look at biggie sized pictures to really see the pooling. To me, it’s only really noticeable in the heal (???) ribbing, and to me, I don’t think it’s bad at all. It won’t show with shoes… I like the color. Colors. I think the honeycombs are so strong and so beautiful, that’s where my eyes go first.
But I guess I’m always game for new yarn, too. 🙂 What if you get some white or cream and dye it yourself???
It’s a lot more obvious to me, probably because the camera didn’t pick up the colors too well. I actually like the heel part; the colors are well mixed there. On the foot, the colors are stacking, and it’s only two at a time. ><; And new yarn would be nice. I'm leaning toward Colinette Jitterbug, since I used it before and I liked it. Vincent's Apron looks like a pretty good colorway… http://www.ravelry.com/projects/missfee/fancy-silk-sock-for-a-child-of-5-or-6-years
