Pattern: Měirényú

Well, life has hit me like a sack of potatoes.  It hasn’t been a fun ride lately, but I have some really awesome people in my life who are helping me through it.  God is so good to me.

Anyway, I have a new release for you guys!  I’m super excited about it, cuz it’s just so pretty!  Frankly, I need to finish blogging about the design process, but oh well.  I didn’t have time to finish that before releasing.

Měirényú, or Mermaids.  This was a really fun shawl to make, since it pushed me out of the boundaries, making the edge flow from the main shawl pattern.

See how it just flows into the edging?  I love it.  And the wavy edges too.

Here you can see all of the design elements together.  The top edge is lacy too!  And the beads add that extra touch to it.

Here’s a full shot (clicky to see it in all of its glory).

Check back on Friday to see how you can win a copy of the pattern!  =]

This pattern is fully charted and written out.
